Release Note Version 4.3

Release Date: Nov 13, 2023

Dear Luxota Users,

We are delighted to announce the latest update to Luxota AI Travel Portal, version 4.3. This release brings several enhancements, bug fixes, and improved user interfaces. Below are the details:

1. #Change Details of Mj-Entry:

Agencies can now edit Mj-Entry details for accurate record-keeping.

Recently we received some report from some clients that after submitting the Mj-Entry (Manual Journal Entry) by the staff, they mistake on writing some details like Receipts Number or miss spelling. According to the policies of the Platform, nobody allowed to the change the amount in accounting system after submitting. That’s why we added this feature only in a case of modification of the transaction description of submitted record. By adding this feature, you can make sure about the accuracy of the transactions and correct data storage.

Reason for Implementation: Allowing agencies to correct their records after submission.
Where to Access: Home->Accounting->Transactions Overview->Mj-Entry Actions->Edit Description.

2. #Cancel Flight Book per Passenger:

Agencies gain more control by canceling a flight book per passenger.

Agencies gain more control by canceling a flight book per passenger. It is often that a travel agency will have to cancel the ticket of a single person from a book that has many passengers, until now agencies should have used a Mj-Entry in order to keep the accounting in check but now they can simply cancel a single passenger from a book and the system will take care of the rest. The benefit of this change is that it not only made tracking of booking status easier but also simplified and automated the accounting of a book and its separate transactions when it comes to cancelling a single passenger.

Reason for Implementation: Empowering agencies with finer booking control.
Where to Access: Home -> Bookings -> Flight -> Booking Controller -> Flight Tracker.

3. #Subtitle: Resolved a bug causing false alerts for zero-profit books:

Resolved a bug causing false alerts for zero-profit books.

our platform utilizes 5 stages of advanced pricing in order to give precise and full control over the final price of a ticket in accordance to an agencies marketing strategy, this has led to certain agencies utilizing over 300 pricing rules to make sure that every single ticket is priced exactly as they want. This volume of control however, can sometimes lead to a mistake in the process of setting up the said rules causing a ticket to be unprofitable. In order to warn our agencies of such mistakes the Accounting Sales Loss notification was made. Before this patch there was an error in its functionality that caused it to send notifications of bookings with 0 profit which can’t be considered a loss. Now the alert is only triggered when a book has negative profit, making it more accurate for its purpose.

Reason for Implementation:Bug fix to ensure accurate notifications.
Where to Access: Home -> Support & CRM -> Automated Notifications.

4. #Enhancements to "Accounting Sales Loss" Alert:

Agencies can now edit Added the profit information from ProfitProMax as a dynamic option in your “Accounting Sales Loss” alert

Considering that agencies have the freedom to create their own custom template of notifications using dynamic information placement in the Automated Notifications section of the BackOffice we attempted to enhance our dynamic notifications of Accounting Sales Loss. From now on you can add the total profit of a book in the Accounting Sales Loss alert’s notification. We predict that with this change you will be able to accurately observe what amount of positive or negative profit a book had that caused it to trigger an Accounting Sales Loss alert.

Reason for Implementation:Providing more informative alerts.
Where to Access: Home -> Support & CRM -> Automated Notifications.

5. #UI Improvements:

Various Marketplace User Interface corrections and enhancements

Many enhancements were made to the certain parts of the Marketplace User Interface; some were issues and some were improvements. These changes include making the “Price History” grid at the bottom of the page more readable, making sure that the description of what image the agency is uploading when making a visa is clearer, changing the place of certain submenus in the Backoffice to be sure that everything is in the right place, you can now see the duration of a package in the packages booking mgt, fixed the download button of a voucher being shown half as long as the “download” text in mobile view of the website, and many more.

Reason for Implementation:Enhancing user experience and readability

6. #Search Results Refresh Fix:

Fixed the need for page refresh with a large number of search results.

Recently we have noticed that certain suppliers send their search results with more and more of a delay, in order to fix this, we have concluded that the 1-minute wait time we have set for the search results to appear is no longer enough and therefore we had to increase the speed of processing the results to make sure that all of the results of a search are properly received and shown.

Reason for Implementation: Allowing agencies to correct their records after submissionEnhancing marketplace search functionality.
Where to Access: Marketplace.

7. #Inactive Suppliers Exclusion:

Inactive suppliers are excluded from the "new supplier name" list when issuing a ticket.

an advantage of the Luxota platform is that you can simply receive a PNR and then the admin of the website could manually issue this PNR from another supplier with a better price. If you are familiar with this process, you can remember that while trying to select a new supplier, the name of all suppliers on the platform, active or inactive, were to be shown. With this change we expect the list to only show the active suppliers in the list making the whole process a lot faster and more user friendly.

Reason for Implementation: Easier identification of proper suppliers.
Where to Access: Home -> Bookings -> Travel Service -> Booking Controller

8. #Transaction Codes:

All transactions now have a unique code for reference.

one of the challenges of the accounting section used to be the tracking of a certain transaction which is understandable considering the overwhelming number of transactions happening on the website at a time. They needed a unique code that could not be repeated even inside the Luxota network. With this patch every single transaction in the Luxota network has a unique code which can be easily tracked throughout the network.

Reason for Implementation: Enhancing accounting module references.
Where to Access: Throughout the back office.

9. #My Bookings Page Enhancement:

Improved visuals and search functionality on the "My Bookings" page allowing a PNR search.

Up until now the “My Bookings” page has been our solution to providing every single user with all the information they may need about their bookings. In order to make sure that such an important section can be even more useful, we added the ability to search using PNR of a book, bettered the UI of a book’s status labels, and brought the multicurrency E-Wallet functions previously introduced in the platform, to this section as well; making sure that all of the bookings reflect the currency they were purchased with

Reason for Implementation: Enhancing user experience and search capabilities.
Where to Access: Marketplace -> Profile -> My Bookings.

10. #Flight Search Section Improvement:

Added from/to switch button in the flight search section.

the passengers looking for a one-way flight can simply enter their place of departure and the date of flight and receive the suitable results, but if they need to search for a returning flight, they had to enter departure and destination again. In this release we have added a button to swap the place of information entered in departure and destination so that our users can easily search for a returning flight

Reason for Implementation: Enhancing workflow for travel agencies.
Where to Access: Marketplace -> Flight Search.

11. #Translations and UI Improvements:

Corrected translations for airports.

another advantage of the Luxota platform is the translation of cities and airports based on the language chosen by the user. In this release we made sure that more cities and airports are correctly translated from English to other languages that the platform provides

Reason for Implementation: Ensuring accuracy and improving user interface.
Where to Access: Various sections across the platform.

12. #Voucher File Naming Change:

Changed the name format of downloaded voucher files.

as a travel agency, your computer is most likely filled with dozens of downloaded tickets. In order to make sure that our agencies will have the utmost power over how they want to sort through their downloaded vouchers/tickets, we changed the name of the vouchers to a new format: Date-TravelService-LeadPassenger-PassportNumber-PNR-BookingID.pdf. this change should guarantee a better experience for travel agencies that try to find a certain book using a specific detail of that book

Reason for Implementation: Improved file sorting for agencies.
Where to Access: Home -> Bookings -> Travel Service -> Booking Controller -> Voucher Download.

13. #Booking Failure for Repetitive Passport Numbers:

Books with repetitive passport numbers within a single booking will now fail.

sometimes an agency might make the mistake of entering a single passport number for two different passengers while filling in the passenger’s form. With this change the platform now returns an error to the user, informing them of the repetitive information

Reason for Implementation: Avoiding complications in later stages.
Where to Access: In Passenger's From during booking process.

14. #Sort Statements by New Types:

Added sorting options for "Cancel/Refund" and "Remove Failed Transactions" in account statements.

in every single travel agency working with 3rd party suppliers there are certain books that fail due to many reasons ranging from charging and account balance to invalid passenger information or the capacity of a flight being filled before submission. In such cases the booking is failed and the money is refunded to a user so that they can make another purchase, such instances might fill up the list of statements of an account while not being useful in all reports. You can now remove such failed/refunded transactions from a statement using a new filter. Just as you can now filter through your statements to find only the cancelled bookings of a buyer/seller

Reason for Implementation: Facilitating easier statement management.
Where to Access: Home -> Accounting -> Buyers/Sellers -> Transaction List.
